We return to our regular format.  I need to write!  It’s a precious time with God and I missed it!

6-23-25   THOUGHTS

We have a fundamental need that is expressed in  Col 3:2...  “Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.”  If we miss it here, no profit!  The problem is stated in verse 7b below... “for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so,”.   In our INTERNET WORLD, the options for  “setting our minds” are virtually infinite!  Discernment and wise Godly choice is a must!  We must live and think INTENTIONALLY!  
Jer 10:23-24a    “I know, O LORD, that a man’s way is not in himself,  Nor is it in a man who walks to direct his steps.  24  Correct me, O LORD,”  

Rom 8:3-9     For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,   4  so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.   5  For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6  For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, 7  because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8  and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.  9  However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.

A Prayer:
Praise, honor and glory to the True and Living God!  Thanksgiving to The One who rules.   O Lord, may we have the Spirit of Christ in ourselves.  Help us to set our minds rightly, on You and the things above where You are with Jesus.  May we be subject to all that belongs to You.  We want to belong to You in the truest of ways.  You are God, we are but men and women.  Direct our steps and gently correct us.  Help us to have “ears to hear”!
